Excellent post. I think the main point you are trying to convey is that communication is king or queen. As a pm for an interactive agency, I've seen too many mistakes made and projects ruined because of a lack of simple communication, let alone the communication of large project points. Collaboration tools are an absolute must, and I really like how you mention everything from complex tools, to simple tools (instant messenger systems) to social networking functionality. Thinking outside the box on how best to communicate with team members and clients can only result in good things. Great job!



Great suggestions especially on the team based decision making tools. As someone who has provided training and facilitation for project teams, I find that many PM's don't know about some of these basic but powerful tools. They work well both in the face to face or virtual world. Thanks for the specific 'how-to's.
